The Super Mario Experience
I was delighted to see a movie based on one of my favourite video games. None other than Mario or as some may call it Super Mario. This time...well...by the time I reached (reached after the interval) Mario already had the princess, but not as a reward but as a companion, rather an ally.
Beautifully made, depicted in 3D, I was enthralled. Special entry and great role by none other than Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong was another video game of yesteryears. Lesser known, but quite fun. Donkey is known for smashing things and he, by the way, is a gorilla.
It was nostalgic, visually fascinating and so much fun. My friends and I had gone with three kids, who obviously had never played these games; and boy were they amazed. I heard them react with thrill, on many instances.
Not giving out the story. Zero details shared so far but they had the cute mushrooms, poisonous turtles and my favourite, Luigi. Mario and Luigi are brothers. In the video game, they'd appear together when we'd play a two player game. I used to play with my younger brother and go ballistic with excitement. It was most fun, when I'd play instead of studying for board exams.
Always revelling in defiance!
