Seaside Sunsets

Horizon

There is something beautiful about sunsets. Almost magnetic. If I am out in the evening and not so far from the sea, I make it a point to spend the evening at the beach. It’s a visual treat. A melting pot of colours, complemented with the soothing sound of waves. It’s as though the tides will go on with their to and fro rhythm, no matter what - come rain, come storm, come sun.

Maybe it's a lesson or a cryptic clue from nature - for us to go on, no matter what. Maybe I am over analyzing. It's reliable, dependable and carved in stone.

Some come to walk, some to calm their nerves, some to chit chat and the rest to take pictures or just soak into the sensory delight of a sunset on the horizon.

The air is thick and sultry and yet there is a coolness to it. You can't beat the sea breeze - geographically proven to be cool. The skies, not so clear - Bombay is afterall, a polluted city. But you can spot a star or two; or maybe one is just Venus - I am no astronomer.

One thing's for sure - I do not mind soiling my clothes and staying here endlessly - preferably alone. I get lost in the photographs I take, the people I observe or just the time spent thinking about things. It's my happy place even though I prefer mountains.

The best things in life are free of cost. Nature's bounty!
